When using the Alarmhandler to control your IP cameras, you can choose a PIN code to protect the app and prevent unauthorized access. You can select any PIN code you want. The PIN code is not tied to an estate, so once you’ve unlocked the app with your PIN code, you’ll not be prompted for a PIN code when changing estate (if you’re using Alarmhandler on multiple estates).
If you’re using Alarmhandler to control SMS alarms, it’s a bit different. After adding an alarm, the app will ask you to enter the PIN code for your alarm. This has either 4 or 6 digits and should be entered just as you enter the code on the normal physical SMS alarm control panel. You may use the same PIN code for the SMS alarm for an estate as for the app itself, but they may also differ. This is very practical if you’ve got more estates with different alarms
For security reasons, we do not store your alarm PIN code on our servere, but just locally inside the app. So if you log out of the app or install it on anther device, you’ll be prompted for the PIN code again.
