Where should I place my IP camera?

September 14, 2016

We recommend that you place our IP camera in your hallway, or other locations with access to the estate. To avoid false alarms, you should place the camera so that it does not get direct sunlight and it does not have a clear view of windows. The advantage of placing cameras in the access point to the estate is that Alarmhandler can quickly detect the burglary, while avoiding inhabitants to feel being watched, as you normally mostly occupy other rooms in your home.

Note: Cameras placed and pointing directly at entrances can be placed in a group called “perimeter sensors”. Alarmhandler allows you to turn on perimeter sensors separately from the home screen. This makes it possible to monitor all entrances while you are at home.
